Hotel Tycoon 2 Bellhop

The Bellhop is the first employee most owners feel. Guests keep walking in while you are in build mode, and the queue becomes a second job. A Bellhop takes the official “click the guest” step and runs it while you drag corridors. This page is only that role. Janitor duties sit on staff roles. Hire order sits on the staff tier list.

When to hire

Hire a Bellhop when:

• Two or more beds exist and stay clean
• You are dying to decorate or expand
• The lobby queue is the thing you notice, not the washer

Wait if:

• You still have one dirty starter room and no Janitor
• Paths are broken (the Bellhop will escort into a wall)
• You have not finished Getting Started

Creators often hire a Janitor, punch a corridor, then buy the Bellhop so “the hotel system is automated” enough to play with lights and showers.

What the Bellhop actually does

They pick up arriving guests and walk them to a free bed. They do not:

• Remake dirty beds (Janitor / you)
• Place furniture
• Collect checkout unless a pass or autofarm is also running
• Operate the elevator keypad for you if the cab is misplaced

If guests still pile up after the hire, you do not have enough clean beds. Add mattresses — rooms list — or fix laundry.

Layout that helps them

• Doors on every room you expect them to use

A maze is a tax on NPC pathing. Rebuilds are cheaper than living with a clever floor plan that only you understand. Badge hunters who delete the hotel and start again are not crazy; see badges.

Top Bellhop (level 5)

The Roblox badge text is “Upgrade a Bellhop to Lv. 5.” Awards sit in the thousands, with a handful per day in busy windows. Start the upgrade as soon as spare cash exists after washers. Do not sit at level 1 for a week while you buy arches.

Pick two. Four at once is chaos. Multiplayer, script safety.

Money angle

A Bellhop raises stays per hour only if beds are empty and clean. They are S-tier on the staff list because they unlock your build time, which unlocks more beds, which is the real money — how to make money.

If you fired a Bellhop to “save cash” at level 4, you donated the XP. Rehire and hope the BETA keeps the level; some sessions reset the worker. Treat level 5 as a badge project with a locked employee, not a temp.

When the glass elevator goes in, stand in the lobby for one rush and watch where the Bellhop pathfinds. If they walk around the cab instead of into it, the door is misaligned — fix it in build mode before you stack floor 4.
