Hotel Tycoon 2 Patch Notes

Lycke does not publish a long steam-style patch blog. This page is a dated list of things the Roblox APIs, HUD, and public sessions actually show. If a YouTuber talks about nine employee jobs, that note does not belong here. Status overview: free BETA.

13 September 2026 — place update

The universe recorded an update the same day this wiki shipped. Live stats at that stamp: about 1.40 million visits, 53.7k favorites, and 2,200+ players in-session on 6-player shards. Join a new server after you see that stamp. Old 6-player shards can keep stale staff XP or missing code boxes. Re-test codes and scripts the same day.

11 September 2026 — BETA badge

A BETA badge began awarding. The Roblox page ran a free BETA event. Play once on the Lycke place to collect it. ALPHA remains a separate trophy.

31 July 2026 — ALPHA badge

ALPHA trophy enabled for the early window. Keep that account if you care about exclusive inventory.

22 June 2026 — core badge set

Roblox published the gameplay badges that still define the grind:

• Play (Hotel Tycoon 2)
• Bed clean yet? (15 remakes, one session) — still at zero awards in later snapshots, likely buggy
• Top Bellhop / Top Janitor (level 5)
• 3 / 4 / 5 Star Owner
• 100x Daily Streak — also at zero awards in the same snapshot

18 June 2026 — universe created

The experience appears on Roblox. How-to-play text is already the four-line loop: click guests, sleep, checkout, build. That text is still on the page in September.

HUD snapshot (BETA)

Verified in official thumbnails and sessions:

Use these labels when you read build mode and how to expand. If a patch renames a catalog, this section will change.

Shop snapshot

Rows seen in mid-2026 tests: starter pack, milestone boost, extra build limit, auto collect, no-collision build, extra currency. Confirm prices in the live shop; this wiki does not freeze Robux costs.

After every future patch

1. Hop servers.
2. Click one guest so you know the loop still works — how to play.
3. Open staff and see if XP is intact — how to hire staff.
4. If you inject, re-test on an alt — script safety.
5. Skim the Lycke shout for a code.

We will not backfill fake weekly notes to look active. Empty weeks mean the how-to-play sentence did not change. That is still useful: you can keep using how to play without relearning the loop.

If a creator claims a new employee role, wait for a badge or a HUD label before this page adds a row. Wrong-game leaks are how receptionist myths start.
