When to hire

Hire a Janitor when:

• Two or more beds exist
• A washer is already placed from the Laundry catalog
• Dirty rooms are why you miss the next guest

Wait if you still have one starter room and no machine. An NPC cannot wash air. Place furniture from laundry first, then open the staff panel.

Creators in public sessions hire the Janitor, punch a corridor, then buy the Bellhop so the hotel can run while they decorate.

They do not:

• Escort new arrivals (Bellhop)
• Place a second washer
• Raise stars by themselves if pathing is broken
• Award Top Bellhop
