Hotel Tycoon 2 Star Checklist

Hold 3-star, then 4, then 5 — without buying a pool for a dirty lobby.

Star Checklist

Star Owner badges are the long grind after the first checkout. This checklist is the chore version of the star rating tier list. Use it after the first-hour checklist. If the meter drops, walk the 3-star block again before you touch Activities.

3-star (S-tier goal)

  • Every bed is on a path from reception.
  • A washer exists on that floor.
  • Dirty rooms get remade before the next guest (you or a Janitor).
  • A bathroom cluster exists.
  • An Outdoor bin sits on the walk from the road.
  • No sold wall is trapping a room.
  • Checkout is being collected — how to play.
  • Hold this state. The badge is 3 Star Owner.

If this block is incomplete, do not buy art. Rooms list.

4-star (A-tier goal)

  • 3-star is stable, not a spike.
  • A Bellhop or a dedicated door player exists.
  • Activities or amenities furniture exists so guests are not only sleeping.
  • Outdoor benches / shade, not only a bin.
  • Lighting so night shifts are not a cave.
  • Second room cluster or a planned elevator — how to expand.
  • Friends are not dumping umbrellas in the lobby — multiplayer.
  • Hold this state for 4 Star Owner.

5-star (B-tier / rare)

  • 4-star is boring.
  • Elevator keypad works (G plus numbered floors).
  • Upper floors have beds, bathrooms, and laundry access — not just empty plates.
  • Staff are leveled; dirty top floors are the usual fail — staff roles.
  • Decoration pass (art, nature, overhangs) only now.
  • Rebuild if the grid is spaghetti. The delete session is on badges.
  • Hold 5 Star Owner. Hundreds of awards in BETA; do not tilt.

Instant fail checks

Walk these if the star ticks down:

  1. Is a guest in the lobby with no bed?
  2. Is a bed dirty?
  3. Is the washer at 0x because nobody started it?
  4. Did someone seal a door in build mode?
  5. Did a pool land on the sidewalk?

Yes to any of these beats a new fountain. How to make money wants stays, not photos.

Optional helpers

  • Codes: spend on S-tier furniture, not C-tier water — codes.
  • Autofarm: can protect cleanliness while AFK; cannot place a missing bathroom — scripts.
  • Patches: rejoin after updates or the meter may be reading a stale shard — patch notes.

Print is still unnecessary, but a second monitor helps: keep this page on one side and build mode notes on the other. Tick with the hotel unpaused. Stars are a hold, not a screenshot.

If 4-star refuses to stick, count washers versus floors before you blame the rating formula. One machine for three floors is the usual miss. Add laundry, then activities — not the other way around.

Hold the meter for a few checkouts before you call the badge done. A spike to 3-star that drops on the next dirty bed does not count. Related: tools hub, tier list hub, guides hub, how to hire staff.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Hotel Tycoon 2 on Roblox.

What should I tick first for stars?

Clean pathing, washer, bathroom, bin. That is the whole 3-star block.

Do I need a pool for 5-star?

Not first. Upper-floor laundry and a working elevator matter more. Pools are a finish pass.

Can a script get me 5-star?

It can keep beds clean. It cannot design the hotel. Layout still decides the badge.

Why is 5-star so rare?

BETA award counts are in the hundreds. Dirty towers fail quietly. Rebuild if the grid is a maze.
